Daphne W. Carman is an Associate Attorney at Nguyen & Chen, LLP. Her practice focuses on immigration law.
Daphne obtained her B.A. in Government from the University of Texas at Austin. After graduation, Daphne went on to obtain her J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center. During her law school tenure, Daphne served as a Contributing Editor of the Texas Journal of Consumer and Commercial Law; Founding Member and Secretary of the Association of Future Prosecutors; Public Relations Officer of the Asian Law Students Association; and was a semi-finalist in the Tom Newhouse Mediation Competition.
Daphne has also interned for the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, Harris County 165th Civil District Court, and the Travis County Office of Parental Representation. Additionally, Daphne has completed the 40-hour Basic Mediation Training and the 24-hour Advanced Family Mediation Training, providing her with the knowledge and training needed to mediate a variety of everyday disputes.
Prior to joining Nguyen & Chen, Daphne gained valuable civil litigation and advocacy experience as an Associate Attorney at a boutique law firm in Austin, Texas. Daphne now uses the skills she has learned to assist clients in immigration matters.
