Lenzi, an associate attorney at Nguyen & Chen, practices in the criminal defense, personal injury, and civil litigation sections. She has been involved in a wide range of cases across those three categories since she joined the firm.
Lenzi graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a 4.0 GPA. She attended UT again for her law degree, partly because the school gave her a full-tuition scholarship for all three years (an approximately $100,000 value). And even though she entered law school with a newborn baby—and had a second one the very next year!—Lenzi graduated on time with a high grade point average.
While at law school, Lenzi took part in the Juvenile Defense Clinic, where she helped defend young people who had been accused of crimes. Lenzi later became part of a group that assisted the Dallas County Public Defender’s Office with their representation of a defendant who was facing the death penalty. She also took several other courses in criminal law, including a hands-on practice course for criminal courtroom skills.
Not all of Lenzi’s experiences in law school focused on criminal law, however. While taking classes full-time, Lenzi also held down a job as a law clerk at an Austin labor and employment firm. There, she helped with a wide range of civil matters, including many types of lawsuits, contract negotiation and arbitration, and administrative proceedings.
